776BC PURSUIT SCHOLARSHIP 2026 RECIPIENT: SARAH MARRIOTT

by Meg Hodgson on July 10, 2026

Congratulations to our first inaugural Pursuit Scholarship recipient.

Greatness is built long before the podium.

The 776BC Pursuit Scholarship is a new annual initiative, created in partnership with Rowing Australia, to back the next generation of Australian athletes chasing excellence on the world stage. This year, it’s been awarded to Sarah Marriott.

A Henley winner, U23 world medallist, NCAA champion in her freshman year at Stanford, and invited into Rowing Australia's National Training Centre at the age of 18 - all while managing and advocating for Type 1 Diabetes. Now she’s chasing LA 2028 and we’re proud to be in her corner for the road to the next Olympic Games.

More than athletic achievement alone, this scholarship recognises the athletes who embody the values of hard work, commitment and teamwork - someone who leads by example, embraces the challenges of high-performance sport, and inspires those around them to be better.

Sarah stood out in a competitive field of applicants, and will receive $2,500 towards the costs of the pursuit of performance on the world stage.

Founded by 2-time Olympian Cameron McKenzie-McHarg, 776BC was built to back athletes in the work behind performance. This scholarship is part of that, and it's just the beginning.
