Sydney.
Be prepared for a spectacle next weekend as Australia’s premier Universities battle it out on Sydney Harbour for the ultimate bragging rights.
776BC has partnered with
The Australian Boat Race for our fifth consecutive year. The prestigious 4.3km race
returns to the iconic Sydney Harbour this weekend where the battle and rivalry between Australia’s top universities is set to continue:
Melbourne University Boat Club versus
Sydney University Boat Club.
The Australian Boat Race has not only a historical significance to Australia but is of personal importance to
776BC co-founder Cameron McKenzie-McHarg, who was part of the 2012 and 2013 Melbourne University men’s crew.
This race is definitely not a casual Sunday row. You can expect contests, clashes, and protests as the two universities go head to head for the coveted title. Not only are these teams carrying their teammates and fellow scholars’ expectations but also the pride of their universities are hanging in the balance.
The athletes will once again be racing in 776BC performance racing suits. The 2016 suits have the
enhanced technical performance of liquid titanium fabric for superior temperature regulation and moisture management, and combine the traditional colours of Australia’s oldest universities with the contemporary 776BC design.
Catch all the action at Sydney’s Darling Harbour with live commentary being broadcast across Cockle Bay War.
The gloves are off and the oars are out. It’s time to race.
