Rowing NZ and 776BC are proud to renew their official apparel partnership, continuing a collaboration built on a shared commitment to performance, athlete-first innovation, and the pursuit of excellence across every level of New Zealand rowing.
As Rowing NZ builds toward the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic, the organisation has renewed its partnership with 776BC as Official Apparel Partner - reinforcing a relationship that has grown stronger with every season since it began in 2022.
“We are proud to have 776BC as our official apparel partner, providing apparel for our rowing whānau from our elite rowers right through to our hard-working officials and volunteers. The fast-growing 776BC team are easy to work with, have a lot of expertise within their team and they remain agile and flexible when it comes to our requirements.”
- Mandy Arnott, Rowing NZ
As the national governing body, Rowing NZ leads and supports rowing in all its forms - school, university, club, para, beach sprints, indoor, and high-performance. The renewed partnership reflects a shared purpose: to strengthen New Zealand rowing through world-leading technical apparel, athlete-first insight, and a commitment to continual progress at every level of the sport.
The renewed agreement extends this commitment through LA 2028, ensuring every athlete across the Rowing NZ whānau is equipped with apparel designed for the margins that matter most.
“NZ Rowing has built a reputation as one of the most successful rowing countries, with a long list of incredible athletes. We’re proud to back Rowing New Zealand and their athletes on the road to LA 2028 , building performance gear that keeps pace with their reputation of medal winning performance. Our energy is focused on matching their performance standards, removing distractions, and giving them every possible edge when it matters most.”
- Cameron McKenzie-McHarg, 776BC Co-Founder
776BC's athlete-centred approach is central to how the partnership continues to evolve.
Co-founder Cameron McKenzie-McHarg - two-time Olympian, Beijing silver medallist, with over a decade on the Australian Rowing Team - brings firsthand understanding of what athletes need from their equipment in the depths of a winter training block and on the start line of an Olympic final. That experience, combined with direct athlete feedback from within the Rowing NZ program, continues to shape the refinement of fabrics, construction, and technical solutions built for the demands of elite rowing.
The renewed partnership supports Rowing NZ athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers across all levels of the pathway - elite, under 23, under 19, and beyond.
SUPPORTING ROWING NZ'S BIGGEST LOCAL REGATTAS
The partnership extends beyond the national team. 776BC supplies limited-edition collections for two of New Zealand's most significant events: the New Zealand Rowing Championships and the Maadi Regatta. From school athletes competing in the biggest race of their season to NZ’s top club crews, these collections are built to honour the energy, identity, and history of New Zealand rowing at the moments that matter most.
