Rowing Australia is today pleased to announce a four-year partnership with leading performance innovation company, 776BC. Founded by two-time Olympian and Beijing Silver medallist, Cameron McKenzie-McHarg and wife Kate, 776BC offers a range of products and services designed to enhance athletic performance. This partnership will see 776BC become the Official Apparel Partner and Sponsor of Rowing Australia and the Australian Rowing Team. 776BC will provide clothing and uniform services to Rowing Australia’s staff and for the organisation’s event activities, while also kitting out the Australian Rowing Team. All four of Australia’s national rowing teams, Junior, Under 21, Under 23 and Senior, will be outfitted by 776BC for clothing and uniform for international competitions. Michael Scott, Chief Executive Officer, said that Rowing Australia was thrilled to be partnering with leading performance innovation company 776BC, as this assists Rowing Australia in achieving its goal to make Australia the number one rowing nation in the world.

“It’s an honour to welcome such an innovative and premium brand to the rowing family. We see strong brand alignment between us as we share a passion and focus on delivering world class performance. Providing athletes with world first technical performance products is an exciting opportunity for the athletes and we look forward to seeing the results.”

776BC’s partnership with Rowing Australia will see Australia’s best rowers be the first to compete on the world stage wearing 776BC’s new MOTION range. 776BC MOTION is world first performance clothing, using biometric and anatomical lines and markers on the garments to assess an athlete’s movement. This allows coaches and instructors to provide better, more accurate feedback in real time, anywhere. MOTION takes science previously confined to the lab into the field of play, allowing athletes and coaches at any level to assess form and technique in every session. MOTION has been developed in partnership with biomechanics specialists BAT Logic and sports scientists at the Victorian Institute of Sport.

The product has been tested with elite athletes across multiple disciplines. Cameron McKenzie-McHarg, 776BC Co-Founder, said that 776BC was honoured to be partnering with Rowing Australia and to be working with Australia’s best rowers. “We are delighted to have been chosen by Rowing Australia, as their official apparel partner, and for Australia’s best rowers to be training and competing using 776BC Motion Technology” commented 776BC’s Co-founder Cameron McKenzie-McHarg. “We share a passion for performance and look forward to working together to achieve some exciting performance outcomes over the next four years. ”

In addition, Rowing Australia is excited to be the official Major Partner of 776BC’s Rowing Academy Program. The 776BC Academy offers camps, workshops and events giving next generation athletes the opportunity to connect with and learn from, their elite athlete heroes.

“The Academy provides a powerful mechanism for corporates, clubs and schools to have a direct athlete experience. These experiences offer an opportunity to access insights from the best athletes in the world in the areas of physical preparation, mental training, nutrition and all the components that go into an elite athlete’s preparation and performance.” Added McKenzie-McHarg.
