Lucy and Fiona are no strangers to vigorous training and intense competition. As experienced rowers, both girls were selected to represent Australia in the Women’s Eight at the 2016 Olympic Qualification Regatta in Lucerne, Switzerland. However, not all went to plan and the crew narrowly missed qualifying for the Rio Games by one position. Seeking a new goal to work towards and keep themselves busy, the pair decided to turn their focus to the Brisbane Marathon in August. With limited running experience, the race will be a test not just physically but also mentally. Join us as we track the girls training, planning and progress. If you're training for a marathon and have some of your own tips to share, we'd love for you to share them with us!
