WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE YOUR SPORT?
Both my Mum and late Dad were Olympic level Kayakers, so I guess it was inevitable I jump in the boat. I started paddling quite young but then crossed into downhill mountain biking. After I got a few too many injuries I came back to the safer sport of Kayaking.

WHEN DID YOU FULLY COMMIT TO TARGETING THE OLYMPICS?
After making my first senior team in 2013 and being able to train with the current K4 Olympic Gold Medallists I really started to believe the Olympics was a possibility.

WHAT’S BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE PERFORMANCE, AND WHY?
Winning Gold in the K4 1000 at the 2017 World Championships. I went through a lot that year with illness, so that win was super rewarding.

WHAT’S BEEN YOUR TOUGHEST CHALLENGE YOU’VE HAD TO FACE IN YOUR SPORT, AND WHAT DID IT TEACH YOU?
I went through a period of about a year with an undiagnosed illness and navigating that was super tough. It taught me to listen to my body and be smarter about how I approach training.

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU? WHAT KEEPS YOU GETTING UP EVERY MORNING?
Trying to be the best I can be.

WHAT ARE FIVE OF YOUR FAVOURITE SONGS TO GET YOU IN THE ZONE?
Supersonic – Oasis

I'll go crazy - Bluejuice

Lost in yesterday - Tame Impala

She only loves me when I'm there - Ball Park Music

Australia Street - Sticky Fingers

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO OUTSIDE OF YOUR SPORT? INTERESTS? CAREER?
I love riding my mountain bike in the offseason, and when we're in full training and I'm in injury prevention mode I’m watching all the action on Red Bull TV.
